Just as Patty Dean Photography has photographers that specialize in weddings and newborn photography, we also have photographers that love to do family photo shoots.
If you think your family is too large for our family photo shoots, think again. Our photographers have experience and creativity on their side.
Family portraits are a wonderful way to preserve memories. They may seem like a chore for some family members while the planning is taking place, but in the end it is worth the work it takes to get everyone organized.
You can look back on photos years later and remember “oh that was the year Joe shaved his beard,” or “that was the year Peter had a broken arm,” or “that was when Jenny started wearing contacts.”
So many things to observe, especially watching the kids grow. Getting family photos every year is extra special because you can compare year to year.
Things you’ll want to consider for your special portrait day:
Senior Portraits Has your senior started to remind you that they must have their senior photos taken prior to senior year coming? Seniors tend to be anxious to take these photos. They have been waiting throughout the long torturous years of high school to take these most special of photos.
The students love the unique opportunity to be themselves in their senior photos. In addition to using a variety of fashions that the student can bring to the photo shoot, we can also use props and different scenery to bring out the student’s exceptional character.
Photo shoot day is a fun time for parents and the senior in particular. Your student gets to show off his or her individuality in their senior portraits. This individuality has never been able to come through in the yearly cookie cutter photos they have taken year after year in school.
While all parents are grateful for the annual photographs the schools take, they do not allow for much uniqueness.
One warm summer afternoon, right before his senior year, will be frozen in photographs by Patty Dean Photography.
To lead us to that day that fateful day, we provide a free consultation where we can discuss location. Together we will determine what scenery will best bring out your senior’s personality.
What does he like? What are her hobbies? Like our other services, we would be happy to make suggestions for a location if you are at a loss. In our consultation we will get to know the senior so we can determine the best way to photograph him or her.
Your senior is about to begin his final year of high school. Soon you will send him off to college or off to a career. This can be bitter sweet moment for your family.
While you may be sad that you “baby” has grown up and is almost out of the house. You’ll have a new found freedom, but your baby is still leaving the nest.
The senior portrait is almost like a good-bye to childhood and a hello to adulthood. It is the last formal photo she will have as a child. It is the last formal photo she may have on her own.
Future photos will include family, friends, perhaps a spouse, perhaps children. With the significance these photos have, we do not take these photos lightly at Patty Dean Photography. These photos hold deep sentimental value to your entire family.
Do not let this summer pass you by without scheduling your free consultation for senior photos. These photos will be long-remembered by the senior and the family. Missed senior photos are a missed opportunity to have those last professional school photos of your child. This should be a photo that holds a special place in your home and your heart.
We provide you with the cd of the photo session so you can order all the poses that you want. This allows you to look back on more photos than just that one photo that will appear in the school yearbook.
